Innovators at ISTT Manufacture Parts Used in the Oil & Gas Industries

A tenant company at Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT), Alton Tech Co., has been able to manufacture more than 60 different parts needed and commonly used in the Oil and Gas industries, the most recent of which is the ‘Manifold valve’.

The Manifold valve is composed of several needle valves connected to a pivot. These valves are mainly used either as a pressure equalizer in differential pressure transmitters or to cut off and alternate the flow of liquids from one route to another in instances of calibration, maintenance or discharge.

Alton Tech has also recently managed to manufacture a special testing apparatus for the manifold valve that has the ability to hydrostatically increase pressure to 700 times its value.

With Iran’s economy being heavily dependent to the oil and gas industries, the domestic manufacturing of spare parts greatly assists the country in reducing costs associated to production and inducing an overall growth in the sector.

Alton Tech has been a resident at ISTT since 2013. The company mainly works in the field of manufacturing of industrial parts and also the production of user manuals for different mechanical apparatus. This company has manufactured many devices and parts such as Glass Level Gauges, Couplings and spare parts of pumps which include Impellers, Shafts, Bearings, etc.
